Youth Entrepreneurship:
The Youth Entrepreneurship Development Initiative (YEDI) promotes entrepreneurship as a viable career option to youth in Charlotte County. There are a variety of programs and services available under this initiative that can aid any young entrepreneur in the start up or development of their business.
One program being developed under YEDI is the creation of a Young Entrepreneur Network, which will encourage aspiring and existing young entrepreneurs to avail themselves of business training sessions specific to their needs and participate in a business mentorship program.
YEDI will also target the youth in Charlotte County schools to build relationships between local businesses and students, by implementing a Retail Training Program, a Career Day Exploration, Summer Entrepreneurial Workshop Camps, and classroom sessions teaching youth the ‘ins and outs’ of starting your own business.
